Together with some friends we attended the famous Kandinsky exhibition here at the Lenbachhaus in Munich. By the gift of Gabriele Münter we already knew the blue rider period, while the Centre George Pompidou now contributed the pictures made during the Russian Revolution and the Bauhaus period (1917-1933) and the Guggenheim Museum his oeuvre since 1933 in Paris. A compensation for an artist who had been included in the “Entartete Kunst” exhibition on July 1937 in less than 2 km distance. My favorite was “Le bleu des ciels“.
