Most recently I had the idea to use some voice detection technology for speech analysis at science conferences. It seems that also others had this idea before as described this TUAW post – using an Iphone app. Unfortunately it will detect only the excitement level – so my recommendation is to switch over to Ekman, study his books, videos and blog to learn about facial expression, yea, yea.
