Face detection at the finish line
I have the same problem as every other sports shooter at the finish line: identifying racers where I can’t see the race numbers on the back or the side of the bicycle. Even faces are difficult to recognize with helmets and sun glasses.
This was exactly the situtation at the Giro Rosa last week in Morbegno. At the end, I found it quite helpful, to have a little formula in Excel, that subtracts exposure time minus first arrival time and where just had to look up the list of arrival times and matching team membership.
