Epson R3000 modification
The R3000 is still one of the best printers on the market, however, only after two modifications.
Install the “Duo Max Waste Kit & Reset Bundle” from octoink.co.uk if you are going to print borderless. The printer potty was about 25€ while the service for spilled ink in Munich cost me about 150€ .
Second, there is no need for the original Epson ink cartridge which is 24,90€ (25,9ml). I am using now Pigmera G4 ink from farbenwerk.com which is 20,90€ (100ml) – roughly 20% of the costs.
I am using only A3 instead of A3+ Epson Premium Glossy A3 as Kapa Fix for A3+ (7€) is much more expensive than A3 (5€).
As an ultimate modification of the R3000 the original printer driver can be replaced with the PrintFab.
