As every year: Cleaning the R3000

Unfortunately the printer head was seriously clogged last year due to a long Corona break. So as every year …. I repeat now the www.youtube.com/embed/QLeExpFVVFo full cleaning procedure every January and flush it at least in 2 week intervals.

Ink Clogging

The only way to open the clog is demonstrated at www.youtube.com/embed/FoREA1GMpD4 while I used CleanRed from farbenwerk, soaked a towel paper and put it overnight under the printer head, tested nozzles on the next morning, just to repeat that procedure for another 4(!) nights. So be patient!

Air bubbles in ink tube

Try wicreset first (there is also a Windows untility that I have not tested so far). Be sure not to download the crippled new wicreset version but the 2016 version that can flush the printer head. If you need to to flush the black colors only, I found that switching black inks at the front printer panel even flushes the black ink tube!

Waste Ink Reservoir

As the R3000 is marketed as semi-professional machine there is no waste ink reservoir. See my earlier post post how install the “printer potty”.
