Ok &#8211; I know that<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>nuclear receptors are hormone-dependent transcription factors (Dran\u00e9 P, Mol Cell 2004; 16:187)<\/li>\n<li>25-OH-D3 hydroxylase is upregulated by estradiol-17 (forgot reference)<\/li>\n<li>endometrium expresses VDR during cycling (Vigano, J Mol Endo 2006; 36:415)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>but what is really responsible for this difference? A new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/content\/article\/abstract?uid=PIIS0092867406009068\">Cell<\/a> paper  now shows that tamoxifen (an estrogen receptor antagonist) disrupts calcium homeostasis in yeast.
