No phone list, no todos, no calendar! To keep on working, I decided to make such a nice booklet that I have seen in the Munich underground recently.
For that purpose I selected in Outlook the 30 most important addresses and printed them by PDFCREATOR to a 3 page PDF (font size 12-14!) using the phone list template. The same procedure for the all active todos using the table template (another 2 pages) while for the calendar items the vertical week view was selected (3 pages).
These 8 pages are then concatenated by a Ghostscript command
gs -q -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=out.pdf 1.pdf 2.pdf 3.pdf
and converted to booklet layout using PdftoPocketMod before being printed and folded.
That’s it, the hard work was only the Outlook formatting. Although it took me 2 hours for setup, any further update will be possible within <1 minute. After all, shouldn't I move to ZEN habits?
