MacOS Catalina is bringing a lot of problems as 32 bit support is now being removed. Various software packages are broken.<\/p>\n

Microsoft Office 2011 is gone as I will NOT pay an annual subscription of $69.99.<\/p>\n

TextWrangler is gone, not sure if BBEdit will replace it?<\/p>\n

ScanSnap doesn’t work. After a long search, I found an update<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Syncovery stopped working. Bought an update for 29,95\u20ac.<\/p>\n

Transmit, New version 45.00\u20ac.<\/p>\n

Little Snitch doesn’t work. Bought an update for 25,00\u20ac. Re-installed Catalina a second time (!)<\/p>\n

\nCarbon Copy Cloner is defect. New Version $37,70.<\/p>\n

Lightroom doesn’t recognize tethered Nikon cameras. Found a work-around<\/a> although the end is near as I will NOT pay any monthly subscription of 11,89\u20ac.<\/p>\n

Haven’t checked Capture One DB so far (but there are reports that it it will be\u00a0 slower<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Find Any File<\/a> can be updated.<\/p>\n

Max<\/a> is gone.<\/p>\n

Garmin Basecamp is gone – don’t care.<\/p>\n

Quick Time Broadcaster is gone – don’t care.<\/p>\n

Picasa is gone – don’t care.<\/p>\n

Remote Desktop Verbindung<\/a> can be updated.<\/p>\n

Tuxera NTFS Disk Manager – no more necessary<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Home Concert Xtreme: Not working right now, update promised<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Catalina therefore will cost you 150\u20ac and 5 hours.<\/p>\n\n
