It was peer-reviewed by four other academics who cleared it for publication. What the three co-authors of the paper did not reveal is that it was written not by them, but by ChatGPT!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.zoom.us\/rec\/play\/MShmA0sVRsbrSb54mbR_inE9OM79Yhj6rEqnJ0iPG0JzEFGWHxWuIL19_B340DYhU8PhFH8F686VqilR.9SzucX8D9wHMeCd2?canPlayFromShare=true&amp;from=share_recording_detail&amp;startTime=1681408751000&amp;componentName=rec-play&amp;originRequestUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fchronicle.zoom.us%2Frec%2Fshare%2FNJsSTKfs-7QeKbRJqGdU_jh-TELXP2rppfuUA3OlyY4qIK1IpTaenw78SGGUOpSn.RdUhZzhqIjkOnW5C%3FstartTime%3D1681408751000\">a Zoom conference<\/a> recently found<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>having a human in the loop is really important<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, universities may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/news\/ai-credit-risk-universities-warns-moodys\">loose credit<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>But\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/o\/hEDJH\/https:\/\/www.moodys.com\/research\/Higher-Education-Global-Artificial-intelligence-poses-academic-integrity-risks-but--PBC_1367660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-module=\"breaking_news-body\" data-mz=\"\" data-position=\"body\">a new report by Moody\u2019s Investor Service<\/a> says\u00a0that ChatGPT and other AI tools, such as Google\u2019s Bard, have the potential to compromise academic integrity at global colleges and universities. The\u00a0report \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/o\/hEDJH\/https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/news\/credit-rating-downgrade-highlights-risks-uk-universities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-module=\"breaking_news-body\" data-mz=\"\" data-position=\"body\">from one of the largest credit ratings agencies in the world<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 also\u00a0says they pose a credit risk.<\/div>\n<div>According to analysts, students will be able to use AI models to help with homework answers and draft academic or admissions essays, raising questions about cheating and plagiarism and resulting in reputational damage.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/patterns\/fulltext\/S2666-3899(22)00101-5\">could we do?<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There is an increasing risk of people using advanced artificial intelligence, particularly the generative adversarial network (GAN), for scientific image manipulation for the purpose of publications.
