The two reports note that Informa will explore how AI can make its internal operations more effective, specifically through Copilot, Microsoft\u2019s AI assistant. \u201cLike many, we are exploring new applications that will improve research and make it easier to analyze data, generate hypotheses, automate tasks, work across disciplines, and research ideas,\u201d a Taylor & Francis spokesperson wrote in an email to\u00a0The Chronicle<\/i>.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Publishers neither analyze data, generate hypotheses and work on research ideas – it is just a money making scheme after the<\/p>\n

Another publisher, Wiley, also recently agreed to sell academic content to a tech company for training AI models. The publisher completed a \u201cGenAI content rights project\u201d with an undisclosed \u201clarge tech company,\u201d according to a\u00a0quarterly earnings report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0released at the end of June.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
