Ich hatte in einer eigenen Studie vermutet<\/a>, da\u00df die viel h\u00f6here Beatmungsrate von Stefan Kluge in Hamburg<\/a> zu einer doppelt so hohen Mortalit\u00e4t f\u00fchrte.<\/p>\n

Nun kommt eine unabh\u00e4ngige Studie im Vergleich zwischen Deutschland und der Schweiz<\/a>\u00a0zu einem nahezu identischen Ergebnis.<\/p>\n

The in-hospital mortality was significantly higher in Germany than in Switzerland (21% vs. 12%, OR 2.0, 95% CI 1.9\u20132.0, p < .001). Matched cohorts showed reduced differences, but Germany still exhibited higher in-hospital mortality. Discrepancies were evident in both pre-pandemic and pandemic analyses, highlighting existing disparities between both countries […]\u00a0 The fact that a higher pre-pandemic in-hospital mortality rate was observed in Germany with a comparable mechanical-ventilation rate suggests that there might be reasons other than the pandemic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Christian Karagiannidis in seiner letzten Publikation<\/a> vermeidet wohlweislich meinen Ortsvergleich<\/a>, kommt am Ende aber nicht umhin, die \u00dcbertherapie aus wirtschaftlichen Gr\u00fcnden zu kritisieren – reichlich verklausuliert – da\u00df n\u00e4mlich eine neue \u201eIndikationsqualit\u00e4t zur Aufnahme auf die Intensivstation<\/a>\u201c notwendig ist.<\/p>\n\n
