{"id":24300,"date":"2024-11-19T09:12:14","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T07:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/?p=24300"},"modified":"2024-11-21T22:29:29","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T20:29:29","slug":"llms-for-genetics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/sciencesurf\/2024\/11\/llms-for-genetics\/","title":{"rendered":"LLMs for genetics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While I am not so much impressed by the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/science.ado9336\">Science paper<\/a> about sequence design &#8211; it&#8217;s a bit premature if we have a function only for 1% of the genome &#8211; I am more excited about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tatta.bio\/\">tatta.bio<\/a> who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-024-46947-9\">published a paper earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Or some other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s42256-024-00872-0?fromPaywallRec=false\">grammar of live papers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I searched for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uniprot.org\/uniprotkb\/O08900\/entry#sequences\">IKZF3<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/gaia.tatta.bio\/\">Gaia<\/a> but maybe this search is already to difficult with a zinc finger that can interact with so many other molecules.
