An fMRI Study of Social Exclusion&#8221; by Eisenberger in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemag.org\/cgi\/content\/full\/302\/5643\/290\">Science magazine<\/a>. I was refered to that study by &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.de\/Lob-Schule-Sieben-Perspektiven-Sch%C3%BCler\/dp\/3455500323\">Lob der Schule<\/a>&#8221; (an excellent book).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Participants were scanned while playing a virtual ball-tossing game in which they were ultimately excluded.
