The purpose is to avoid getting stuck in a self fulfilling prophecy related to one&#8217;s fear of not being confident, e.g., by thinking, &#8220;I can&#8217;t ask that girl out because she would sense my lack of confidence.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>and attributes it to such different areas like depression, alcohol dependency or rap music while this may be also motif also of a science career (while should not be confused with scientific breakthroughs).
