Evolution and medicine share a dependence on the genotype\u00e2\u20ac\u201cphenotype map. Although genotypes exist and are inherited in a discrete space convenient for many sorts of analyses, the causation of key phenomena such as natural selection and disease takes place in a continuous phenotype space whose relationship to the genotype space is only dimly grasped.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Luke 12:7 where God is ascribed the power to evaluate the tiniest details of existence, not only to number the hairs of our heads, but to understand their meaning.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

which is also reported in Mathew 10<\/p>\n

30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
\n31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But there is another association he also raises to psalm 139<\/p>\n

13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
\n14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
\n15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
\n16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book
\nbefore one of them came to be.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

IMHO the remarkable fact here is not “to understand their meaning” but the imperturbable belief of us humans of an inherent cause and an inherent end.<\/p>\n\n
