{"id":510,"date":"2006-12-18T11:32:18","date_gmt":"2006-12-18T09:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/2006\/12\/18\/retraction\/"},"modified":"2006-12-18T18:05:10","modified_gmt":"2006-12-18T16:05:10","slug":"retraction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/sciencesurf\/2006\/12\/retraction\/","title":{"rendered":"Retraction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Working in a field where hundreds of papers are published every year and none is ever retracted, I highly appreciate a letter in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemag.org\/cgi\/content\/full\/314\/5806\/1681b\">Science<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8230;D1 dopamine receptor (D1R)-stimulated intracellular Ca2+ release was attributed to a direct interaction with calcyon &#8230; the ability of calcyon and D1Rs to co-immunoprecipitate when co-expressed in cells as reported presumably stems from the association of both proteins with clathrin-coated vesicles&#8230;thus, the isolation of the calcyon clone in a Y2H screen with D1Rs appears to have been adventitious&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In my opinion this comment advance science and give the authors a much higher credibility than any further paper.
