But note, there is a new paper in Nature &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nature\/journal\/v468\/n7324\/full\/468627a.html\">Follow the money<\/a>&#8221; with an result that I find plausible:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nIn general, we find that sponsors who concentrate funds in fewer institutions have lower research impact as measured by early-citation counts.
