France\u2019s ANSM agency that oversees the safety of medicines and health products said it had taken the measure \u201cas a precaution\u201d after investigations showed \u201ca probable link between the death and the administration of Uvesterol D\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Indeed vitamin D is used as a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rodenticide\">rodenticide<\/a> with high toxicity. The death of the baby was probably not a direct effect of vitamin D but induced by the kind of application.
