{"id":8783,"date":"2017-01-05T11:58:40","date_gmt":"2017-01-05T10:58:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/?p=8783"},"modified":"2025-10-29T11:16:32","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:16:32","slug":"denialism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/sciencesurf\/2017\/01\/denialism\/","title":{"rendered":"Postfaktisch!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Letzte Woche fiel mir ein 7 Jahre <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/341\/bmj.c6950\">alter BMJ Weihnachtsartikel\u00a0in die Hand<\/a> \u00fcber ein Ph\u00e4nomenon, das die Engl\u00e4nder Denialism nennen<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Espousing unproved myths and legends is widespread during the festive season, but some groups hold views contrary to the available evidence throughout the year. This phenomenon, known as denialism, is becoming more elaborate and widespread, and poses a danger to public health, say Martin McKee and Pascal Diethelm<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Und Mermaids Tale, eloquent wie immer, schreibt zum Jahreswechsel \u00fcber &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/ecodevoevo.blogspot.de\/2016\/12\/post-truth-science.html\">post truth science<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This year was one that shook normal politics to its core. Our belief in free and fair elections, in the idea that politicians strive to tell the truth and are ashamed to be caught lying, in real news vs fake, in the importance of tradition and precedent, indeed in the importance of science in shaping our world, have all been challenged. This has served to remind us that we can&#8217;t take progress, world view, or even truth and the importance of truth themselves for granted. The world is changing, like it or not. And, as scientists who assume that truth actually exists and whose lives are devoted to searching for it, the changes are not in familiar directions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wissenschaft wird immer schwieriger: mit universit\u00e4rem Massenbetrieb und sinkender Ausbildungsqualit\u00e4t, \u00dcber-und Unterf\u00f6rderung von Forschung, mangelnder Kontrolle des Outputs wo\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarlyoa.com\/2016\/01\/05\/bealls-list-of-predatory-publishers-2016\/\">Peer Review<\/a>\u00a0nicht mehr funktioniert.<\/p>\n<p>Nach dieser Erosion wundert nicht, dass postfaktisch im Dezember zum <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/kultur\/gesellschaft\/wort-des-jahres-2016-postfaktisch-gekuert-a-1125124.html\">Wort des Jahres 2016 erkl\u00e4rt<\/a>\u00a0wurde\u00a0obwohl\u00a0es doch eigentlich das\u00a0Unwort des Jahres ist<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"tiEe4eiZui\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/sciencesurf\/2016\/10\/postfaktisch\/\">Postfaktisch?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;Postfaktisch?&#8221; &#8212; Science Surf\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wjst.de\/blog\/sciencesurf\/2016\/10\/postfaktisch\/embed\/#?secret=PZIb60cQiN#?secret=tiEe4eiZui\" data-secret=\"tiEe4eiZui\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Im Endeffekt geht es dem Journalismus nicht anders, der wie Wissenschaft auf Analyse von Fakten beruht. Klaus Brinkb\u00e4umer schreibt im Leitartikel des Spiegels \u00fcber Augsteins Auftrag an die Zukunft des Journalismus (im gedruckten Heft 1\/2017:12):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Donald Trump gewinnt die Wahl trotz allen, denn er hat 18 Millionen Follower auf Twitter und 17 Millionen auf Facebook. Dort erzeugt Trump seine eigene Wirklichkeit, und unterstellt denen, die ihn seiner L\u00fcgen \u00fcberf\u00fchren, dass sie L\u00fcgner seien. Er ist Vorbild f\u00fcr viele. L\u00e4ngst nennen L\u00fcgner eine Presse, die Wahrheiten sucht, &#8220;L\u00fcgenpresse&#8221;. Die T\u00fcrkei l\u00e4sst Journalisten verhaften. Und die Verfasser von Fake News, Falschmeldungen, bezeichnen Nachrichten, die ihnen nicht passen, exakt so: &#8220;Fake News!&#8221;. Postfaktisch wird die Gegenwart genannt, da f\u00fcr viele Menschen L\u00fcgen so unterhaltsam und bald so wahr sind wie die Wahrheit. Wenn Algorithmen zu Chefredakteuren werden, werden Mensch die rassistische Texte lesen wollen, mit rassistischen Texten beliefert. So wird die Welt endlich logisch&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Klaus_Brinkb\u00e4umer\">Brinkb\u00e4umer<\/a> f\u00e4hrt fort mit einem Plato Zitat, obwohl zu Platos Zeiten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diegesis.uni-wuppertal.de\/index.php\/diegesis\/article\/view\/188\/255\">L\u00fcge und Irrtum<\/a> noch nicht getrennt war. Heute allerdings kennen wir den Unterschied, L\u00fcgen bleiben L\u00fcgen, auch wenn sie als postfaktische Spr\u00fcche daher kommen. F\u00fcr Brinkh\u00e4user steht hier alles auf dem Spiel, von der Pressefreiheit, bis zur Demokratie des Westens. Auch die Zukunft von Wissenschaft.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">28.10.2025<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wissenschaftsjournalismus in der SZ ist zuweilen nur schwer zu ertragen. Legend\u00e4r immer noch Werner Bartens mit &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sueddeutsche.de\/wissen\/allergie-kuhdreck-als-impfstoff-1.615708\">Kuhdreck als Impfstoff<\/a>&#8220;.
