This is already overdue, as Petapixel wrote about that in June 2017
Back in 2015, we saw the launch of Affinity Photo, a sleek, lightweight, and powerful alternative to Adobe Photoshop for doing professional edits on photos. Originally released for Mac, it launched for Windows at the end of 2016. Now it seems like there’s more big news on the horizon: a possible Lightroom competitor.
Affinity/Serif promised something for mid-2018 so we are still waiting….
As the public beta of Publisher is now out with the final version to be released on the 19th, Serif will hopefully find more time to work on a DAM that can replace Lightroom.
I have bought Lightroom as well as 2 software updates and still have a defunct software where geotagging stopped working again.
