The PAJ GPS Easy Finder is nice device with up to 10 days of standby. When there is no GPS signal it even sends the ID of the next cell tower:
In my example above, find the Lac code. It is a bit tricky to look up the location now, but here is an instruction for E-plus at cellidfinder.com
